Introduction to the BOS Forum
Biotech Outsource Strategies (BOS) is the evolution of an ongoing 2 year project, organised by Bio2Business Ltd (www.bio2business.com) to facilitate R&D outsourcing and partnering for UK Biotech.
BOS Programme
BOS is primarily a partnering event; a forum to connect UK biotech outsource executives with a network of specialist CROs operating in the areas of medicinal chemistry, process chemistry and formulation. In addition to 1 to 1 partnering we have organised a programme of speakers who will deliver perspective and experience from academia, industry and the service sector. From biotech we have speakers from leading companies Vernalis and Hunter Fleming, and perspective from an experienced biotech outsourcer in an exciting new venture with Andy Baxter from Serentis Ltd.
To deliver the keynote in the medicinal chemistry module we are delighted to welcome Dr Chris Hill, Senior VP Research, Organon Laboratories Ltd. Delivering the keynote for the process chemistry module we welcome Prof Hans Jurgen Federsel, an internationally renowned figure in the process R&D world and Director of Science in Global Process R&D AstraZeneca.
To provide an independent perspective we are pleased to confirm Dr Charmaine Quarterman, Director of PharMomentum will be sharing experiences in outsourcing calling upon her many years of experience in development of small molecule NCEs.
In each of the 3 modules during the day our network of specialist CRO partners will have the opportunity to introduce their services and capabilities in the areas of medicinal chemistry, process chemistry and formulation. This will be an ideal opportunity to learn more about potential development partners who can add value to your business.
