BOS 2008 Programme
BOS is primarily a partnering event; a forum to connect UK biotech outsourcing executives with a network of specialist CROs operating at the discovery/development interface. In addition to 1 to 1 partnering we have organised a programme of speakers who will deliver perspective and experience from academia, industry and the service sector.
We are pleased to announce a first class programme of speakers for BOS 2008 including the following experts in their fields; Julie Warneck from Serentis Ltd will be opening proceedings with a talk on biotech approaches to discovery biology and pharmacology and the role played by outsourcing in their approach to R&D; Dr Ming-Qiang Zhang of Biotica Technologies Ltd will then be providing his unique perspective on the medicinal chemistry employed by Biotica using microbes in addition to the more traditional contract chemistry route. After the Technology Showcase and one to one partnering meetings held during the lunch interval we are pleased to welcome Dr Paul Little from 7TM Pharma in Denmark who will be giving his perspective on managing the CMC challenges associated with early stage NCE development in a biotech environment and how outsourcing plays it's role at 7TM. Following NCE R&D downstream we are pleased to have Dr Chris Roe from AstraZeneca share his experiences of different preformulation strategies that have helped AstraZeneca progress candidates toward 1st in man. Finally after the coffee break Dr Lloyd Payne, CSO from biotech F2G Ltd, will share with us his experiences of working with CRAM from the East and West respectively and comment on some of the key considerations when looking to outsourc to India or China or closer to home in Europe.
