Presentation Title: Revolutionising Procurement: Go from Reactive to Proactive

Abstract: The challenges faced when outsourcing CMC services have evolved over the past few years. The pandemic's impact has resulted in research organisations no longer wanting to consolidate the sources of their CMC services in a single location; instead, they prefer quick and easy access to local suppliers to ensure a consistent supply chain. Equally, the demand for accessing new and innovative technologies, such as Direct Powder Extrusion (DPE) 3D printing, for instance, as well as suppliers, also presents challenges to ensuring these companies meet quality requirements and internal standards and policies. This presentation will cover how a research organisation can enable fast and efficient access to new and existing CMC suppliers in a compliant way as well as exercise best practices when outsourcing based on Scientist.com's experience as the world's largest marketplace for outsourced scientific services.
